Ask Moshe

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing about Ask Moshe — how the service works, what it costs, and how professionals are chosen.

How does Ask Moshe work?

You send Ask Moshe one WhatsApp message describing the job. Moshe asks questions, collects photos, and builds a full picture — scope, size, timing, access. He then takes that to several vetted professionals, shows them the job, and collects their quotes and availability. Moshe compares the options, picks the best deal, and comes back with one offer: the pro, the price, the date, and how long the work will take. You approve or you don't.

Is Ask Moshe the tradesperson?

No. Ask Moshe doesn't paint, clean, or move anything — Ask Moshe finds the right professional for you. Moshe talks to the pros on your behalf, collects their quotes, and compares them. It isn't a listings board you search yourself, and it isn't a lead site that hands your number to five contractors who then call you. You get one ready offer. Once you approve it, Moshe connects you directly with the pro.

How long until I get an offer?

Most offers arrive in under 30 minutes. Moshe first collects the details of the job, then takes them to professionals and waits for their prices and availability — so the exact timing depends on how quickly they come back. Ask Moshe runs on WhatsApp Sunday to Thursday, 08:0020:00 Israel time, and a message sent during those hours gets a reply within minutes.

How do I contact Ask Moshe?

On WhatsApp, at +972 53-565-0941. Send one message describing the job — what you need, where, and when — and Moshe takes it from there. There's no app to download, no form to fill in, and no account to create. The service runs in Hebrew and English, Sunday to Thursday, 08:0020:00 Israel time. For anything not tied to a specific job: [email protected].

How much does it cost?

Using Ask Moshe is free. You don't pay for the message, for the intake, for the comparison between professionals, or for the offer that comes back. There are no commissions on either side — not from the customer and not from the professional. The only money that changes hands is for the work itself, paid directly to the professional at the price in the offer you approved.

How is the job price determined?

The professionals set the price, not Ask Moshe. Moshe gives them a full picture of the job — scope, size, condition, timing, access, and photos — so they can quote accurately instead of guessing and revising later. He collects several quotes, compares them, and picks the best one. The final price is agreed directly between you and the professional. Moshe won't give you an estimate before he's spoken to the pros.

How do I pay?

You pay the professional directly, not Ask Moshe. Once you approve the offer, Moshe connects the two of you, and from that point the scheduling, the payment method, and the timing are agreed between you and the pro. Ask Moshe isn't a party to the payment, doesn't collect money from customers, and doesn't hold funds. It's worth confirming the price and payment terms in writing with the pro before work starts.

How do you vet professionals?

Every professional application is reviewed by our team before that professional receives jobs. We speak with the applicant, explain the service rules, and review the application details. This review does not verify licenses, credentials, insurance, or experience; customers should confirm the details required for their job directly with the professional.

What if the offer doesn't suit me?

You don't approve it, and Moshe keeps looking. The offer is an offer, not a commitment — there's no penalty, no cancellation fee, and no limit on how many times you can say no. If the price, the date, or the professional doesn't work for you, say what specifically didn't, because Moshe uses that to find a better match. You can also just stop at any point.

What happens after I approve?

Moshe connects you and the professional directly, and from there the scheduling, the date, and the payment are settled between you. But we don't disappear: you can come back to us on WhatsApp at any point — to rate the professional, to ask for a different one if something didn't work out, or to cancel. The work itself is carried out by the pro, and the price and payment are agreed directly with them.

Which areas do you cover?

Ask Moshe currently operates in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Givatayim only. Those are the three cities where we have active professionals, so those are the only places we can match a job. If your job is outside that area you can still message us — we'll tell you straight away that we're not live there yet rather than leaving you waiting. We're expanding to more cities gradually.

What kinds of jobs do you handle?

Three categories: painting, cleaning, and moving. Painting covers interior and exterior work, scaffolding jobs, spray painting, wall patching and prep including damp and mould, and metal and iron painting. Cleaning covers post-renovation, move-in and move-out, and general deep cleans. Moving covers small moves, full apartment moves, crane lifts, furniture disassembly and reassembly, and interim storage. Anything outside those three categories isn't supported yet.
