Ask Moshe
Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms apply to anyone who uses Ask Moshe — sending a WhatsApp message, browsing the website, or contacting the service in any other way. Please read them before using the service. Note: the Hebrew version of these terms is the binding version.
Who we are
Ask Moshe is a matching service that lets you contact us via WhatsApp, describe a service need (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.), and receive an introduction to a professional who may be a good fit. The service is operated by Shachaf Fontyn and Shai Alter (no incorporated entity).
Contact: [email protected]. Address: Business address pending, Israel.
Ask Moshe is at an early operational stage and is not currently a registered legal entity.
Our role — locate and connect
Ask Moshe locates and connects. We speak with the professionals on our list ourselves and choose who to forward a given customer request to. That curation step is the entire service — locating a relevant pro, talking to them, and connecting them with the customer.
Once Ask Moshe introduces a professional, the conversation, scheduling, scope, pricing, payment, and the work itself are between the customer and that professional. Ask Moshe is not a party to that conversation or that agreement and assumes no responsibility for what is communicated, agreed, performed, or paid between them.
Ask Moshe does not perform, supervise, manage, schedule, price, quote, inspect, approve, deliver, complete, or warrant any plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, renovation, or other professional work. We do not handle materials, payment for the work, refunds, or job sign-off.
Ask Moshe is not a service provider, contractor, sub-contractor, agent, partner, employer, broker, escrow agent, insurer, or guarantor of the professional. The professional is independent.
Ask Moshe does not guarantee it will find a match for every request, and makes no commitment about response time, professional fit, or any outcome.
Tradespeople are independent — we do not control them
The tradespeople we introduce are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, or agents of Ask Moshe, and Ask Moshe has no authority to instruct, supervise, or control how they perform any work.
Ask Moshe speaks with professionals before adding them to our list and decides which professional to forward to a given request. This is curation only — a relevance and fit decision based on a conversation. It is not a license check, an insurance check, a background check, a credit check, or a certification.
Ask Moshe does not independently verify and makes no representation about: professional licenses, certifications, registrations, criminal history, insurance coverage, financial standing, experience claims, references, availability, pricing, quality, safety, or the outcome of any work.
Checking licenses, insurance, references, and pricing is the customer's sole responsibility. We recommend requesting a written quote and confirming professional liability insurance before any work begins.
Any reviews, ratings, or marketplace signals displayed by Ask Moshe are informational only and are not endorsements, certifications, or guarantees of any kind.
Minimum age — 18 and over
The service is intended for people aged 18 and over only. Use by a minor requires the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If we learn that a minor used the service without the required consent, we will take steps to stop access and delete the data.
User responsibilities
By contacting the service, the user undertakes to: provide accurate and truthful details (description of work, location, contact details); not impersonate another person; not send offensive, unlawful, or misleading content; and use the service for lawful purposes only.
Ask Moshe may refuse to handle a request, block access, or report to authorities if there is reasonable suspicion of misuse, fraud, or breach of law.
Prohibited use
It is prohibited to use the service to: send spam or bulk unsolicited messages; scrape or automatically collect data; interfere with the operation of the service; attempt to compromise computer systems; or use the service to compete with Ask Moshe without permission.
Limitation of liability
Ask Moshe is not liable for work quality, defects, workmanship, materials, property damage, personal injury, theft, delays, no-shows, cancellations, refunds, pricing disputes, scope disputes, conduct, or any other act, omission, or consequence of work performed by — or interaction with — a professional introduced through the service.
Ask Moshe is not liable for anything said, promised, agreed, miscommunicated, omitted, or disputed in the communications between the customer and the professional after Ask Moshe has made the introduction. Those communications, and any agreement reached in them, are between the customer and the professional only.
Ask Moshe is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from reliance on the service, an introduction to a professional, failure to find a match, content of communications, or technical faults.
To the extent permitted by Israeli law, Ask Moshe's total liability in any case shall not exceed the amount actually paid to Ask Moshe for that specific transaction — and if nothing was paid, Ask Moshe's liability is nil.
WhatsApp communications
The service is WhatsApp-based. By contacting us — including by sending a message through any WhatsApp input on this website — the user agrees to these terms and the privacy policy, and agrees to receive service messages related to that request (coordination, status updates, or a response from a professional).
Ask Moshe will not send marketing messages, promotions, or newsletters without separate explicit consent. You may opt out at any time by sending the word "STOP" in the WhatsApp conversation.
Ask Moshe uses Twilio to deliver WhatsApp messaging. Twilio, WhatsApp, Meta, and their processors may process message data under their applicable service terms and policies.
Requests for access, correction, deletion, or any other privacy right are handled through the privacy policy — see the Data deletion and Your rights sections there.
Termination of service
Ask Moshe may stop providing service to any user, at any time, if there is suspicion of misuse, breach of these terms, breach of law, harassment of professionals, or for operational reasons.
Ask Moshe may discontinue the service in whole or in part for any period, with advance notice where reasonably possible.
Intellectual property
The website, logo, brand name, original content, and matching system are owned by or licensed to Ask Moshe. They may not be copied, distributed, or used without express written permission.
Use of the service grants only a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service.
Changes to terms
Ask Moshe may update these terms. A material update will be published on the website with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after such an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Since most users arrive via WhatsApp and do not hold a registered account, we recommend checking this page periodically.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, including the Consumer Protection Law, the Contracts (General Part) Law, and the Communications Law.
Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute shall be in the competent courts in Israel.
Binding language
These terms were written in Hebrew. The Hebrew text is the binding version. If an English version is displayed, it is for convenience only — in the event of any conflict, the Hebrew version prevails.
